Rotherham Advanced Motorcyclists is an unregistered charity (4263) affiliated with IAM RoadSmart and regulated by the Charity Commission.
Our funding:
We raise a modest annual subscription (currenlty £10) from our loyal members. We receive funding from individual donations and a modest payment from IAM RS for each new associate that takes the course with us.
Our volunteers:
We are proud of the work of our volunteers. Our elected committee members give their time to ensure compliance with our legal obligations and to provide the best experience for our members. Our observer team works with associate members who are taking the Advanced Rider Course. Several of our recently qualified advanced riders are now training as observers.
Our costs:
Our funds are used to pay for the insurance premiums that cover our organised activities, coaching and related materials. In addition they pay for the hire of rooms for the quarterly Committee meeting and the Annual General Meeting. Our accounts are reviewed externally and compiled quarterly for each committee meeting.
Our charitable output:
Our main charitable output is the time and material given by our volunteers. It has been agreed by RAM committee that any surplus funds should be applied to charitable purpose or donated to other charities (subject to agreement by our group members at the AGM) by the end of each subscription year.
